DI - 78 Diagnosis - Diagnosis-fault diagnosis of electronic and electrical parts

Diagnosis procedure
1. Check the data of engine.

a. Ignition switch: LOCK.
b. Connect the diagnostic unit to fault diagnostic connector (16 pin).
c. Ignition switch: ON.

d. Read the engine data indicated on diagnostic unit.
Can the diagnostic unit enter into ECM module to read its data flow?
Yes>intermittent failure.
NO>go to Step 2.

2. Check other module data.
a. Read the safety airbag or ABS data indicated on diagnostic unit.

b. Read the indicated data of diagnostic unit.
Can the diagnostic unit enter into safety airbag or ABS module to read its data flow?
Yes>go to Step 5.
NO>go to Step 3.

3. Check the communication CAN wire of ECM.
a. Ignition switch: LOCK.

b. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole.
c. Disconnect ECM connector A001.

d. Adopt a multimeter to measure the conductivity between pin 6, 14 or B1 of diagnostic interface connector
B013 and pin 62 or 84 of ECM connector A001.
e. Adopt a multimeter to measure the conductivity of pin 14 or 6 of diagnostic interface connector B013 to
ground.
f. Turn the ignition switch to “ON” position, and adopt a multimeter to measure the resistance between pins 14
and 6 of diagnostic interface connector B013.
Standard resistance:
