Transmission axle-sliding yoke
Overhaul

1. Remove the transmission axle of rear axle (refer to “chapter 33 transmission
axle-transmission axle assembly, replacement”)
2. Inspect the clearance of sliding spline (refer to “chapter 33 transmission axle-transmission
axle assembly, inspection”)
3. Remove the spline axle

(a). Open the oil seal cover of sliding foke.
(b). Pull out the spline axle from the sliding foke.
(c). Take down the oil seal, oil seal washer and oil seal cover from the spline axle.

4. Install the spline axle
(a). Set the oil seal cover, oil seal washer and oil seal on the spline axle.
(a). Set the sliding yoke on the spline axle according to the calibration arrows.
(b). Install the oil seal and oil seal washer and screw down the oil seal cover.
