Transmission axle- intermediate bearing
overhaul

1. Remove the intermediate transmission axle (refer to “chapter 33 transmission
axle-transmission axle assembly, replacement”)
2. Remove the flange of intermediate
transmission axle
(a). Pull out the cotter pin and loosen the
slotted nut.
Notice:
The cotter pin removed can’t be used again.

(b). Remove the spring washer.
Notice:
the spring washer removed can’t be used again.
(c). Remove the washer.
Notice:
the washer removed can’t be used again.

(d). Make matchmarks on the flange of
intermediate transmission axle and the
intermediate bearing assembly.
(e). Knock on the edge of the flange slightly
with a hammer and a copper rod and pull it
out from the spline axle when the flange is
33 loose.

3. Remove the rubber gasket ring of
intermediate bearing

4. Remove the intermediate bearing assembly

(a). Rnock slightly with a hammer and a copper rod and remove the intermediate bearing assembly.
5. Inspect the intermediate bearing assembly
(a). Inspect whether the intermediate bearing assembly can rotate freely.
(b) Replace with a new intermediate bearing assembly if necessary.
