Transmission axle- intermediate bearing
6. Disassemble the intermediate bearing assembly
(a). Disassemble the intermediate bearing assembly into intermediate bearing, bearing seat and oil
seal with a hammer and a copper rod.
(b). Inspect whether the intermediate bearing is worn or damaged and replace with a new one if
necessary.
7. Assemble the intermediate bearing assembly
(a). Apply lubricating grease on the intermediate bearing and the oil seal lip.
Lubricating grease: lithium grease no. 2
(b). Install the intermediate bearing into the bearing seat.
(c). Press in the oil seal on both sides.
8. Install the intermediate bearing assembly
(a). Install the intermediate bearing assembly in place with a hammer and a copper rod.
Notice:
Make sure the side with matchmark shall be towards the outside of the spline axle.
9. Install the rubber gasket ring of
intermediate bearing
Hint:
Make the internal bore groove of the rubber
gasket ring align with the projecting portion of the
intermediate bearing.
10. Install the flange of intermediate 33
transmission axle
(a). Knock on the edge of the flange with a
hammer and a copper rod to make it install
in place.
Notice:
The installation must be carried out in
accordance with the matchmarks made before.
(b). Install the washer.
Notice:
A new washer must be replaced with.
(c). Install the spring washer.
Notice:
A new spring washer must be replaced with.
