Lighting-Front combined lamp
Adjustment
1. Adjust the irradiation range of front headlamp
(a). Adjust vehicle to the following conditions.
· There should be no deformation around the front combined lamp.
· Park the vehicle on a flat ground.
· Tyre pressure should be at standard value (refer to “Chapter 23 Wheel and tyre-Wheel and tyre assembly,
Inspection on vehicle).
· Driver sits inside of vehicle and make the vehicle ready to be started at any time (with fuel tank fuelled).
· Vehicle is shaken may times.
(b). Check the irradiation range of headlamp
· Prepare a piece of thick white paper.
· Place the paper perpendicular to the ground at the position of 3m away from front combined lamp.
· Make sure the angel between the central line of vehicle and paper is 90°.
· Draw a horizontal line on the paper and point out the position where headlamp should irradiate to.
· Draw a vertical line on the paper and point out the position where the central line of vehicle locates.
· Draw two pieces of vertical lines and point out the position where two headlamps should irradiate to ( right
headlamp vertical line and left headlamp vertical line).
· Draw a horizontal line (mark to connect the centers of two low beams), and point out the position where
headlamp should irradiate to (horizontal lines of right front combined lamp and left front combined lamp).
· Take proper measurement method so as not to influence the other lamps.
· Adjust the horizontal position of headlamp to “0”, then adjust the shaft angle of front combined lamp.
Hint:
Horizontal lines of right headlamp and left headlamp should be 0.4° lower than horizontal line.
· Start the engine.
· Turn on front combined lamp
· Check if the irradiation range of headlamp is accord with the figure.
· Adjust the headlamp along perpendicular direction if it is not accord with the figure.
(c). Adjust the irradiation rang of headlamp along perpendicular direction: fasten/loose the bolt and adjust the
irradiation rang of headlamp to standard range.
54 Hint:
Rotate the screwdriver clockwise, the irradiation range will move forward. Rotate the screwdriver counterclockwise, the
irradiation range will move downward.
