Diagnostic Procedure

1. Checking combination switch

(a) Check combination switch.
Resistances:

Use a multimeter Specified
Condition
to connect pins value
High beam switch 9 - 12 > 1 MΩ
OFF
High beam switch
ON 9 - 12 ≤ 2 Ω

Are check results normal?
Yes > Go to step 2.
No > Replace combination switch.

2. Checking high beam relays

(a) Check high beam relay R30 and R31.
Standard values:

Use a multimeter Specified
Condition
to connect pins value
Normal 1 - 2 Continuity
Apply supply
voltage between 3 - 5 Continuity
pins 1 and 2.

Are check results normal?
Yes > Repair or replace harnesses.
No > Replace high beam relays.
