Cooling-Surge Tank

8. Removing surge tank assembly

(a) Remove the bolts connecting surge tank
with its bracket, and take off surge tank
assembly.

9. Installing surge tank assembly
16 (a) Install surge tank to its correct position on its
bracket, and tighten the fixing bolts.

Torque: 21~25 N•m

Notice:

Before the installation, check that there are
no noticeable cracks and scratches, etc. on
surge tank surface. When necessary, replace.

10. Connecting surge tank outlet hose
(a) Connect surge tank outlet hose to surge
tank, and tighten the hoop.

Torque: 9~11 N•m

Tip:
To prevent water leak, you can apply a little
Foton special sealant to inside surface of
outlet hose or outside surface of surge tank
outlet for sealing.
11. Connecting radiator escape hose

(a) Connect radiator escape hose to surge
tank, and tighten the hoop.

Torque: 9~11 N•m

12. Connecting engine escape hose

(a) Connect engine escape hose to surge
tank, and tighten the hoop.

Torque: 9~11 N•m
