8. Remove the third-shifting gear attachment
(a). Remove the third-shifting gear attachment and the
needle bearing from the secondary axle.
9. Remove the secondary-shifting gear attachment
(a). Remove the secondary-axle and secondary-shifting
gear retainer ring.

(b). Remove the secondary-shifting gear thrust washer.
Hint:
Be careful not to lose the steel ball.
