 Each  candidate  had  ninety  seconds  to  con-

 vince the students in the audience to vote for
 them  and  the  online  voting  was  opened  that
 same  day.  Being  a  prefect  is  just  one  exam-
 ple  of  the  many  student  leadership  opportu-
 nities available in the school. We take student
 leadership very seriously as there are so many
 benefits that come with being a student leader,
 whether it is as a prefect, a member of the stu-
 dent  council,  a  House  Captain  or  the  captain

 of a sporting team such as the School Football
 Team.


 Taking on a student leadership role is very likely
 to  increase  academic  performance.  Students
 learn to take more control of their own learning
