            the proposed training for non-PERHILITAN staff is personal safety, boat handling, wildlife sampling
            method, wildlife identification, data handling, wildlife handling, wildlife medicine, and wildlife
            restraining.

            Captive Breeding Programme – Breeding of endangered wildlife species is an important function
            of PERHILITAN. New breeding stock is important to increase the captive population. One of the
            ways to acquire breeding stock is from rescued individuals. Rescued individuals selected for the
            captive breeding programme will be transported to breeding centres located across Peninsular
            Malaysia.

            The summary of the management components, activities and methods is listed in Table 3.1.
