The comprehensive examination is a comprehensive test on the core
concepts and issues within the discipline. The examination is a four
hour test administered by the Graduate School.

This course places emphasis on practical counseling with supervised
experience in community and/or agency programs. The role of the
administrator of community counseling services is considered.
Problems and issues in counseling are examined. This is the first
semester of the three-semester experience and emphasizes basic skill.
An intensive field experience of 200 hours is required, a minimum of
40 hours of which must be in direct contact with clients.
