BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA HOSTS WHITNEY M. YOUNG, JR. AWARDS BREAKFAST
The 2019 Whitney M. Young, Jr., Awards Breakfast was held Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the Tampa River Center, Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park. The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award recognizes outstanding service by individuals and organizations that work with Scouting programs or programs that exemplify the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law to youth in underserved com- munities. This year’s recipients were: Sheriff Chad Chronister, Troy Taylor, Bullard Family Foundation, Senator Arthenia Joyner and Garland V. Stewart (Posthumously). Scouts in attendance were: JaKeevia Middleton, Ki’Mariah Teel, Shilah Bryant, Kamani Taylor, Bri’elle Taylor, Enyah Green, Kimora White, Raraji White, Damion Gallon, Jr., Ali Gay, Nevah Wade, Jordyn Ashley and Scout Leaders, D’Wan Johnson and Kimyelle Teel. Among the honorees and guests with the Scouts are: far left, at podium, TV News Anchor, Rod Carter; Atty. Delano Stewart, accepting posthumously on behalf of his father, Garland V. Stewart; accepting for Sen. Joyner, Estella Gray; recipient, Sheriff Chad Chronister; Rev.
