Beginner-Level II - Movement Training



         Running

         Focus on faster run pace pursuing a tossed ball






                                           Sample Activity



                                             Run to a tossed ball and catch at waist
                                             Run to a tossed ball and execute a forearm pass

                                                Split step to stop or run thru with control

                                             Backpedal keeping shoulders forward, then execute an overhead
                                              pass or a forearm pass
                                             Run to a tossed ball, stop with head under the ball, and catch

                                                Proceed to an overhead set














                                                   Checklist


                        Slight  forward  lean  with  shoulders  when
                          running


                        Faster arm swing-straight forward/back
                        The  passing  platform  is  under  the  ball  when

                          passing;  keep  running  while  executing  the
                          pass

                        Backpedal,  stop  with  split  step,  execute  the
                          overhead  set,  shoulders  stay  forward  while
                          moving
