Checklist



                        A two-step approach to jump

                            Long steps

                            Start with weight on left foot, push off the left
                              foot, long step to a right/left jump

                        Step-Close Footwork

                        Arms back and will assist with jump

                        Modified T-position-

                            Extend non-attack arm above the head

                            Draw  non-attack  arm  down  to  body  midline
                              as the attacking arm elevates to the ball

                        The  three-step  approach  in  an  L/R/L  foot
                          pattern

                            Small  first  Step  with  L  foot,  longer  last  two
                              steps

                            Small to big steps

                            Slow to fast





         Landing

           Continue emphasis on "soft" landing on two feet

              Emphasis on knees over toes when landing
         Sample Activity


           Jump-land with "eggs under the feet."

           Same as above, with a turn in the air, land softly with no rotation of the upper or lower body
           Monitor spike and blocking attempts for soft landings with good form
