Checklist
A two-step approach to jump
Long steps
Start with weight on left foot, push off the left
foot, long step to a right/left jump
Step-Close Footwork
Arms back and will assist with jump
Modified T-position-
Extend non-attack arm above the head
Draw non-attack arm down to body midline
as the attacking arm elevates to the ball
The three-step approach in an L/R/L foot
pattern
Small first Step with L foot, longer last two
steps
Small to big steps
Slow to fast
Landing
Continue emphasis on "soft" landing on two feet
Emphasis on knees over toes when landing
Sample Activity
Jump-land with "eggs under the feet."
Same as above, with a turn in the air, land softly with no rotation of the upper or lower body
Monitor spike and blocking attempts for soft landings with good form
