Checklist
On both two and three-step approaches
Head stays level during the approach
The athlete goes from small to big
steps, slow to fast
Heel-Toe plant on last steps left foot in
front of the right foot, hips open to the
ball
Drop the hips while using the arms to
assist in the jump
Accelerate into the R/L plant and jump
Attacker in air
Assumes T-position with attack arm
The non-attack arm points to the ball,
then to the "Yes" position as the
striking action begins
Contact ball with an open hand,
fingers spread
Drive the hand over the top of the ball
Land on two feet with good balance
