Checklist
Can demonstrate good hand/ball
contact while holding the ball. The
fingers are comfortably spread, relaxed
wrist, contact with the palm of the hand.
Assumes T-position (see throwing)
Elbow leads contact hand to a high
contact point
Brings non-dominant hand to "yes"
position
From the ground, contacts ball with
dominant hand contacts the ball with an
open hand, fingers relaxed and spread
and hits over the net
Follow through after contact bring hand
down to the waist
Can jump without an approach, assume
the T-position, and hit the ball over the
net.
Can implement a two-step approach in
the correct foot sequence, jump and
attack the ball over the net.
