3. INNOVATIONS

i) PROVISION OF SMARTOR SENSORS OF M/s CGPISL TO MONITOR
HEALTHINESS OF AUXILIARY MOTORS

Auxiliary motors are failing rampantly due to winding and bearing
failures. M/s CGPISL developed SMART SENSOR V2.0, ultra modern and
efficient smart sensor which can forecast maintenance of the motor
by keeping a tab on the motor 24X7. By fixing this sensor on the motor,
condition of Stator frame, Rotor assembly and Bearings can be
monitored. This sensor measures the Flux, Noise & temperature of the

motor with sensors and anticipates the defects in the motor. All these
parameters of the individual motor can be accessed remotely 24X7.
These prototype SMARTOR sensors of M/s CGPISL were provided on
TMB-1, OCB-2 and MRB-1 motors in loco no.41230.
