15.1. Conduct
You must obey all lawful instructions given to you by Management, and must at all times work to the
required standards of service, cleanliness of your work areas and areas of use in the office, politeness,
quality, quantity, safety, minimal waste and time. You must behave yourself on Company premises and
must not indulge in any kind of hooliganism, willful damage to property or insubordination. You must at
all times respect your fellow workers and Management, and our customers and suppliers.
15.2. Diligence and Loyalty
You must at all times perform your work properly, diligently and to the best of your ability. You must be
loyal to the Company and conform to such policies, rules and regulations that the Company may prescribe
from time to time.
15.3. Confidentiality
You must keep your work confidential, and must not discuss Company business with any non-employees
of the Company.
15.4. Alcohol and Drugs
If you are found to be in possession of unauthorised alcoholic liquor or drugs or if Management believes
that you are under the influence of liquor or drugs, severe disciplinary action will be taken and you will be
removed from Company premises immediately.
15.5. Personal Business during Working Hours
During working hours, you are not permitted to entertain personal visitors, make personal telephone or
cell phone calls, read magazines, newspapers, or leave work for personal reasons, etc., unless you have
received the prior permission of the Manager.
You may not access websites sites that have no relevance to company business, “surf” the net, use social
networks, download any software or utilities, or access pornographic sites. Refusal to obey this instruction
is a dismissible offence.
15.6. Illness
You must go to a registered Doctor and submit a medical certificate if you are absent through illness. It is
your responsibility to notify your Manager of your illness by 08h00 on your first day of absence on the
telephone, or through a friend or family. If you fail to do so, you may be regarded as absent without
permission.
Management reserves the right to accept or reject sick notes on reasonable grounds, and may at any time
and at the Company’s cost, require an employee on sick leave, or who has applied for sick leave, or who is
persistently absent on sick leave, to report for an independent examination by a Medical Officer
nominated by the Company. Continues on next page…
