                              Breakdown
o Select folder containing Excel Spreadsheet containing matter data
o Create a DAC6 file DB entry for each entry found in the Excel Spreadsheet
o Show the progress of the import process
o Report issues found with Excel entrees during the import, and save all issues
to an import log which can be reviewed after the import has completed.

                          New File (Manual Entry)
This feature will facilitate the manual input of a single DAC6 file. The information
required to generate a new file will be kept to a minimum so that files can be
created quickly without the need to supply all data immediately. Once the file
has been created, the user can then freely update any corresponding data at will.

Hallmarks will of course be an inherent part of a DAC6 file and these will be
appended in one of two ways. Firstly, by performing an assessment which will
automatically identify and suggest hallmarks, or secondly, by manually
appending a hallmark directly. Once a hallmark has been appended, file owners
can modify the hallmark details, and share the hallmark with a Tax moderator for
sign-off in preparation for it to be reported to the local authority.

On occasions it is likely that clients may claim privilege over the reporting of any
identified hallmarks. Under these circumstances the file can be set as ‘Subject to
Privilege’. Files updated in this manner are then shared with a privilege expert
for sign-off, to confirm that all information has been relayed to the client, and
that the client understands it is now their responsibility to report any identified
                              arrangements.

During the life of the file, all tasks will be monitored and reported via a timeline
that will be continually updated and displayed as part of the open file. The
timeline will show milestones and reminders, both past and future.
