 The Torah discloses to us yet another aspect of the distinct personality
of a woman. (Beresheet 2:22) “Hashem built a woman from the rib
 He took from man.” Chazal expounded on this pasuk as “Hashem

 learns; In understanding – Understanding means he understands
 something insightful by himself based on the words he learned from
others.” (Rashi, Shemot 31:3) “Wisdom” is defined as – When a
 person absorbs and then comprehends what he heard from his Rebbe
 and internalizes those concepts to the point where he can in turn
transmit them to others without adulteration. “Understanding” is
 defined as – When a person breaks down into separate components
 the things he’s heard and is then able to reassemble those components .
into new, novel meaningful ideas that he did not hear from his Rebbe
 but nevertheless emerge from the teachings of his rebbe.
“Binah” which means “Understanding” is related both to the word
 “Ehven” – a stone \ brick – and to the word “Binyan” \ “Building,”
 meaning, to build on his Rebbe’s word).

 Hashem Yitbarach endowed women with a special attribute of
being able to perceive and understand the subtle details within a
 general situation and see beyond those things that are superficial
 and obvious. She is able to delve into the subtleties of those details ,םי ֶֶוּח ַה ךְ ִר ִדּ אוּה י ֶמ ְֶ ַגּ ַה ם ָלּע ָה ל ִא ה ֶָי ֶגּ ַה .
 in a meaningful way, and from them build different outcomes.
attribute is important to her in order for her to be able to fulfill her
 mission within the family. The obligations of the household that

 for. (Thus, the secretarial “profession” is a women’s profession פּר ֲא ַבּ ר ִד ֵס י ֶל ְבּ :פּג ְכּ ,ר ִד ֵס טי ֶל ְֶ ַה ְל ךְי ֶר ָצּ ִֶ פי ֶב ֵמ ר ִב ִגּ ַה םַגּ

 details).
