6.5  Rating of Performance Factors





                                       evaluates  “how”
      The   performance   factors   section              the   employee   conducted   him/herself   to   perform
      and   achieve   their   pre-established   KPAs   as   indicated   under   the   KPA   section.      The   performance
      statements   are   pre-set   and   are   not   to   be   changed.      Before   the   performance   factors   are   assessed,
      please check that the factors correspond with the employee's occupational group (i.e. management or
      non-management).  Please  read  the  instructions  carefully  before  you  begin.    Click  on  the "Rating"  cell
      to   view   the   drop-down   list.      Read   each   statement   carefully   and   choose   the   one   most   appropriate
      statement   for   the   particular   performance   factor.      Where   the   employee   achieved   a   low   rating   for   a
      particular   performance   factor,   the   development   required   is   to   be   discussed   and   included   in   the
      employee’s  competency  development  plan.  Provide  examples  or  reasons  for  giving  the  specific  rating.
         Continue   the   same   way   with   each   statement   until   you   are   finished.   There   are   ten   factors   in   total   for
      non-management occupations, and five factors for the management occupational group.

      The   summary   table   at   the   bottom   of   the   worksheet   shows   you   the   scores   obtained   for   each
      performance factor, as well as the final score for this section of the EPMDS. When you're done, click the
      "Next" button.
