CELEBRATING OUR RICH DIVERSITY
at
PANAMANIAN DAY PARADE
On October 8,2021 District Governor Anthony Cochran was joined by
several Lions, representing the mosaic of diversity in District 20-K1. We
were celebrating ethnic pride at the Annual Panamanian Day Parade.
This parade of culture, costumes and color commemorates the
separation of Panama from Colombia on November 3, 1903. The event
is also observed in Panama with national festivities.

The parade started at Bergen and Franklin Avenues and ended on
Classon Avenue where various vendors sold Panamanian cuisine with
the backdrop of cultural musical entertainment.
The Panamanian community appreciates District Governor Anthony
Cochran and our little mascot, whose presence made the event special.
Lions Demelsa Rhoden and Carla Stuart (Committee Chair and Co-
chair) thank all the Lions who participated and increased community
visibility and awareness about our service objectives and the inclusivity
of Lionism.
