~LCIF MATTERS~

WORKING HARD TODAY FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE TOMORROW

We are in the home stretch of C100, which will culminate on
6/30/22. Model clubs will be given an extra year to wrap up their
pledges etc. Lions, we are making history every day.
The following will explain:
At the end of the 1st quarter, we have raised over $23,000,
with 21 of our 76 clubs contributing. But we will not ease up
because we will achieve our goals, and more. I thank
the district and our Lion members for their compassion and
empathy demonstrated through their giving. You are giving
from the heart as you consider those in need, and I feel
compelled to mention the country of Haiti. Need I say more?
You may not be able to be there in person, but what you give
monetarily or in kind, makes a difference.
We placed 2 in MD20 raising $164,935 since C100 began in
nd
2018.
We placed 3 rd for clubs in MD20 with our International
President’s club donating over $30,000 for the fiscal year,
2020-2021.
Globally, C100 has raised to date $229.3M. We need $71M to
reach our goal. Will you help? Imagine how many lives will
be touched with $300M and 600M acts of service?
Towards this end, the following is our District’s goals:
i) 100% club participation - All 77 clubs are asked to donate
to C100.
ii) 100% membership donate at least $20, what a boost that
would be!!
iii) Become a 100/100 club = $8 per month, give up Starbucks
coffee once weekly.
iv) If you or your club has never considered giving a donation,
I’m pleading with you to make the decision to donate to
help those suffering from Blindness, Vision Impairment;
Hunger, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Environment-
Climate Change; and Youth Bullying.
As many of you may or may not know, the 2VDG works with
the LCIF District Coordinator and support him/her efforts in the
district to promote and further the mission of LCIF; educate
the Lions about the foundation, promote Fundraising locally
and globally.
To highlight additional pertinent information:
I encourage all Lions to join in Foundation Fridays; 1 Friday

of each month. You will gain knowledge, receive a certificate
for attending classes; get access to a recording of the session.

Giving Tuesday is November 30. Please Make LCIF your
charity of choice this year. This is
a worldwide event. Please donate to LCIF on Nov. 30.
As members we all belong to LCI, But LCIF belongs to us.
