The District 20-K1 NYC Marathon Committee extends a
heartfelt “Thank You” to all Lion and Leo volunteers
and others who supported as spectators.
There were 36 volunteers at Fluid Station 8, and Fluid
Station 10, and everyone enjoyed the
experience. Some were first-timers at this project,
and others were experienced. The District provided
lunch bags, and there was a general spirit of
teamwork and service from the heart. Lions prepare water cups for the runners
Our Lion, Anita Cochran Morris (daughter of PDGs
Anthony and Joyce Cochran), ran a great race and
completed her run in 5 hours and 28 minutes, a
wonderful showing for a first-timer. We congratulate
her! PDGs Anthony and Joyce extend their thanks to
Lion Anita’s cheering squad.
It is suggested that we register for next year's race as DG Antonio Robles (front center in white raincoat) volunteered too
District 20-K1 Lions for our usual Mile 8 and that we
do so as early as possible. The District 20-K1 NYC
Marathon Committee found pleasure in serving our
District Governor, Antonio Robles, and our District.
God bless 20-K1.
The Committee comprised Lions Pearl John, Mirle
Gillard, Lynda Williams Canaii, Angela Doldron and
Clive John.
