Lion Lottie D. Shannon, (2 from the left) President of
the Bedford Stuyvesant Lions Club, Brooklyn, New York
received the Legends, Legacy, Leadership Award from
the Dream Foundation at their annual Gala held
September 7, 2023 at Russo’s on The Bay, Corona, New
York.

Lion Lottie was recognized for her innovative and
transformative leadership to the community and public
contributions via public media (Keeping It Real with
Shannon TV Show). The Dream Foundation
(Developing, Restoring, Enriching, Many, Foundation,
Inc.) also known as a champion of underserved
communities, is a philanthropic, not-for-profit
organization offering varied community assistance
programs. These include scholarships for youth,
health, workshops, and community grants.

Lion Lottie is shown receiving her award from the
organization’s founder, Mr. Decosta Headley. She
recognized the Lion’s organization for its concurrent
