Message from District LCIF Coordinator, Lion Arlene Punnett
CAMPAIGN 100 – EMPOWERING SERVICE – AROUND THE WORLD

Campaign 100 was a resounding success because of the humanitarian spirit and commitment of Lions and Leos.

This historic campaign surpassed the goal of $300 million and more than 600 million acts of service. The impact was
felt globally. New grant programs provided support for Childhood Cancer, Vision Environmental Programs and
alleviated Hunger. The Refugees and Displaced Persons Fund was empowered to provide more safety and security. Youth

programs benefitted from increased Lions Quest grants. In response to global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and
other natural disasters, LCIF was able to serve quickly with respite grant awards.

Our Foundation is about sustaining and impacting the service of Lions globally, “wherever there is a need”.

Our goals for this Lionistic Year:

        1. Encourage every Lion to make a contribution to LCIF
        2. Recommend that every club includes an annual donation to LCIF as part of the budget

        3. Advocate that every Cabinet Officer makes an annual contribution
        4. Solicit contributions from non-Lions and local businesses

        5. Promote application for available grants

        6. LCIF committee members will partner with the Region and Zone Chairs to make presentations at AC meetings.
        7. Build awareness and support of the Foundation’s program and its values

        8. Assist clubs with recognition programs and awards

LCIF’s fundraising goal for this year is set at $50M.

The campaign continues as we strengthen the work of Lions to support youth programs, save sight, provide disaster
relief, fight diabetes, feed the hungry, protect the environment and support childhood cancer. We pledge to be engaged
and fully support the mission of LCIF, our Foundation that continues to serve – “where there is a need, there is a

    Lion!”
