BROOKLYN FARRAGUT/VANDERVEER PARK/GLENWOOD SERVING
TOGETHER
In an effort to provide more effective community service, Lions Pearl John, (Service Chair of Brooklyn Farragut Lions Club) and Lion
Judith Douglas (President, Brooklyn Vanderveer / Glenwood Lions Club) decided to collaborate on two Summer Service Projects.
They decided to take Farragut’s Signature“Back To School Giveaway” to “Youth Event” sponsored by Community Board #17! Farragut
Lions secured the back packs and Vanderveer Lions provided the school supplies.
On August 4th, 2022 at Paerdegat Park in Brooklyn, the Lions were ready to serve, with tent, chairs, backpacks, notebooks, various
school supplies and most of all, a spirit of unity in service.
Special thanks to these Vanderveer Lions RC Bernadette Hokai, Judith Douglas, (President), Nadia Chuckwueze, Secretary, Paulette
Anthony and Joanne Neverson. We value the teamwork with Brooklyn Farragut Lions, especially IPP Eunice Sebro, ZC Patricia Muir
Karen Lester, (Secretary), Dawn Williams Burton, (Tail Twister), Charter Member Isa Hamilton, Clive John, Audrey Henderson, Eudelle
Vaughan, and Pearl John.
This was a successful, wonderful project, proving that “Together We Can.”
