Maternity, Newborn and Pediatrics
The VNSNY Maternity, Newborn and Pediatrics Program
(MNP) provides family-focused home care to newborns and
children up to age 18. MNP services include short-term care
for acute care needs as well as long-term care for chronic
illnesses.
Working closely with families and physicians to ensure the
best outcomes, MNP provides care for children with:
• Complications of prematurity • Failure to thrive
• Respiratory disorders • Childhood cancers
(such as asthma) • Neurological disorders
• Diabetes • Orthopedic conditions
• HIV/AIDS • Cerebral palsy
• Seizure disorders conditions
• Sickle cell anemia • Cardiac conditions
• Congenital anomalies • Palliative care needs
MNP also provides pregnancy and postpartum services,
including care for gestational diabetes, pre-term labor,
hypertension, HIV/AIDS, and post-cesarean wounds.
This program includes skilled nursing, short-term
rehabilitation, home health aide services, parent advocate
and social work services, and parenting education.
