What is
Admission Nursing?
The admission process in hospitals is an essential part of delivering proper health care, whether someone
is arriving for ongoing treatment or for an emergency. It's a process that determines a patient's needed
level of care, their current state, and other ongoing conditions. Specialized personnel called admissions
nurses transition patients to hospital visits so that they receive attention and care as soon as possible.
Admissions is the hospital process that involves a patient staying for at least one night or more. In health
