                  Study the words to describe pain and discomfort below.
                   Acute pain    Pain that lasts for a short period which is usually caused by tissue injury or inflammation
                   Chronic pain   Long-lasting pain, typically lasting more than 3-6 months
                   Intermittent   Pain that comes and goes

                   Severe        Intense pain that severely limits physical activity
                   Dull          Persistent but not sharp

                   Stabbing      Pain that feels like being punctured or stabbed
                   Throbbing     Pain that comes in waves or pulses, often in sync with the heartbeat
                   Tingling      A prickling sensation, often associated with nerve pain
                   Numbness      A loss of sensation or feeling

                   Excruciating   Extremely intense, overwhelming pain
                   Stiff         Limited movement due to discomfort or tightness in muscles or joints

                   Tender        Painful to the touch or sensitive
                   Swelling      An enlargement or puffiness around a painful area
                   Sore          Achy or tender, often associated with inflammation or overuse

                   Cramping      A squeezing, tight pain often associated with muscle spasms
                   Shooting      Sudden, sharp pain that travels along a nerve
