What is intellectual property and why is this
important?
IP (Intellectual Property) protects somebody from
stealing your name, product, image or design. It also
makes sure that you do not, in error or with intention,
copy someone’s name, product, trademark or design.
Intellectual property rights are broken when a design or
a creation that is protected by IP law is copied or used
without getting the go-ahead from the individual who
owns those IP rights.
What to do before you even think about launching!
Type the name of (and search any related words) your
product or service into a search engine to see if your
name, product or service is being used anywhere.
