story must evoke emotion within a person and
have practical value they can take away
afterwards.
4. State the problem you are solving with your
product or your company.
5. Slow down when you are pitching, so you can
reach the maximum absorption points of your
audience.
6. Describe your solution to the problem and how it
works. Also explain that it’s been attested so you
can give proof of its success.
7. Use visuals, pictures, graphs and facts but just
remember the 8 second rule. The 8 second rule is
the average attention span that an internet user
has. It used to be 12 seconds but now as our brains
are being constantly conditioned it is 8 seconds.
So you need to keep each fact, or any slide effects
used in the pitch presentation, as short and
punchy as possible as this will provide the listener
with the maximum amount of penetration.
