What I’m saying here is that sometimes it doesn’t matter
if you are the fastest or you get there the quickest. If you
just stop, slow down, take your own time and actively
listen to others then sometimes the fastest person will
speed right past you but will be unable to stop. It is not
easy to hit a target at speed and even more difficult to
hit a moving target if you are constantly running past it.
The constant noise from notifications and media
frequently interrupts our work and we speed up to get
finished as quick as possible because the next diversion
is already alerting us. Sometimes taking longer and
finishing in your own time is the better solution.
I also only realized later in my life that it’s not just about
reaching the destination, I actually enjoy the journey
more than the speed of getting there and the destination
itself. If the journey finishes quickly, I move onto the next
destination as quickly as possible.
So, enjoy the ride to the destination because that is
where the most fun is. But most importantly, don’t stop
believing and keep on moving to thrive not just survive.
