              ]20[   We have already written  that if one didn’t have a shofar on the first day
              and they brought him one during bein hashemashos that he should blow without
              a beracha. If Rosh Hashana falls on Thursday and Friday and the shofar arrived on
              Friday after the tzibur davened Maariv of Shabbos, yet it is still day, the Taz writes
              in siman 600 that one should blow without a beracha.    66


              ]21[   Even  though  blowing  shofar  on  Rosh  Hashana  is  a  decree  of  the  Torah,
              there is a message in it, and it is as if [the  shofar is] saying “slumberers, awake
              from  your  sleep,  those  who  doze  off,  wake  up  from  your  naps,  examine  your
              actions  and  do  teshuva,  remember  your  Creator!”.  [This  refers  to]  those  who
              forget the truth while getting caught up in the emptiness of time, for those who
              turn to emptiness are erring, for this will not help nor save them. Look after your
              souls and improve your ways. Each one of you should abandon his evil ways and
