must be that we hold that either way, since we blow three types of teruahs, it is so
that we will fulfill the one which we are obligated to blow and the rest is
considered non-existent. If so, we are saying that it is possible that only tekiah-
teruah-tekiah or tekiah-shevarim-tekiah is correct and if we would blow shevarim-
teruah in a single breath, then there is no shevarim or teruah. Therefore, we blow
them in two breaths so that even if we are supposed to blow shevarim-teruah,
some say that even a shevarim-teruah can be separated by a breath.
Nevertheless, one should be careful not to pause for more than a breath. 59
