TECH B ALTERNATOR AUDIT OUTLINE

Some sections will be redundant from the previous audit to confirm skills. The panel will grade each
section, and grades will be discussed during the completion of the examination.

NOTE: A score of 2.5 is required for level certification.

• MYPLANT
o log in and navigate to the site
o download and inspect alarm logs
o trend data points requested by auditors
o download parameters/data log

• DIANE
o Log into winserver
o Copy software from card
o Check for and complete software update
o Shut down
o LOTO

• PERFORM TASKS
o Perform Drive and Non drive end bearing replacement
o Perform and correct alignment
o Troubleshoot an issue such as no voltage
o Tooling: understand special tooling required, own tooling required to perform
task above
o Cleanliness
o Data collection
o Basic analyzation of removed components

• COMMUNICATION
o Explain to panel job performed
o Explain to panel issues found
o Go over data collected

• DOCUMENTATION
o Finalize paperwork
o Submit packet to panel
o Interview with panel to confirm soft skills
o Document potential work to quote
