Process Overview:
o Service Manager is to review forecast with Branch Manager to review upcoming jobs
and plan accordingly well in advance of scheduled services.
o Service Manager will name lead techs (preliminary) up to two months in advance.
o Lead Techs will fill out / plan for the job using the Planning Form as a guide.
o Service Manager to confirm a Lead Technician for every job when it is scheduled and
communicate to all parties (internal and external) who is leading the job.
o Service Manager will give the Lead Technician time to prepare for the job – execute all
responsibilities as defined within Lead Technician “Roles and Responsibilities”
o Once a lead is nominated and the job starts, they stay until its completed.
o Datasheets are extremely important to identify all work performed. As well data sheets
will become part of the job closure report to the customer. These need to be filled out
as each project progresses.
Dynamics 365 will track and provide daily review from service orders and
datasheets.
o A complete list of all necessary special tooling for all engine types will be generated by
Service Manager, uploaded into Dynamics 365 and properly tracked as available
resources.
o When the job is completed -
Lead Technicians will be given the appropriate amount of time to write a
professional report and properly complete project close out documentation
prior to moving to the next job.
