NES-WES Parts Operations Document

The Parts department consists of the Supply Chain Manager, the Sales Team, the Parts Managers, and
the Warehouse Personnel.

Parts Manager:

1. Parts Processing/Ordering.
a. Labor Order.
b. Spare Parts Sale.
c. Engineering Department Order
d. Spare Parts Warranty – No Labor.
e. Spare Parts Warranty – Labor.
2. Work Order Review.
a. PM to review all work orders to ensure part #s, qtys, and pricing are correct prior to
closing.
3. Part Number Identification.
a. Identifying part #s for customers through parts books, spatsl, or spare parts
identification cases.
4. Core Management and Return.
a. Work with customers and vendors to gather and return cores physically and in the
system.
5. ICS Database Configuration.
a. Setting up new part #s.
b. Changing items in “Item Maintenance”
c. Setting product codes and series codes.
d. Parts notes.
e. Supersessions.
f. Substitutions.
6. Freight Recovery
