Prepping Cylinder Heads
Wipe each cylinder surface down using an approved Jenbacher cleaning agent. Pay
attention to the valve springs, intake and exhaust ports and valve face. Once each head
is cleaned recover in preparation of installation.
Prepping Engine Oil Pan
Because contaminates may have entered the oil pan, the oil pan must be wiped out.
Pictures must be taken of the oil pan after cleaning to document cleanliness.
Engine Assembly
During installation of each component, it is important the sealing surfaces are cleaned
and wiped down. Jenbacher documentation, Jenbacher FSM’s and NES/WES QA
documentation must be followed during the reassembly process.
Documentation
During the complete Siloxane remove pictures of the entire process must documented and
stored in the Overhaul data sheets. Documentation should be delivered to APMC, Service
department and the customer for proper record keeping.
