After measuring rails, care should be taken to ensure correct placement under engine.
Incorrect placement under engine will result in inaccurate readings!

Measuring After Install

After rails are installed and before settling period a measurement should be
taken in locations outlined in step 1.2

This measurement as shown in illustration 1c should be taken from base of
engine frame rail to bottom of engine crankcase. Any shims installed should be
considered in final reading and included in final reading, note shim height will
need to be subtracted from measurement to get actual rail crush measurement.
Utilizing a tape measure or metal ruler take a reading from the base of the frame
rail to bottom the engine block.
