participation in the lessons and as documentation for setting up for the exam.
1.2 Certification and rights
1.2.1 Radio certificates - types
There are several types of radio certificates (cf. BL 6-08 as of 1/1/2026).
• BEG with Danish language endorsement (BEG-Danish)
BEG-Danish is a nationally certificate, which only allows you to use Danish
language in radio communication, you are not allowed to use it abroad.
• BEG with English language endorsement (BEG-English)
If you are going to fly VFR abroad, you must have a BEG-English certificate.
With a BEG-English certificate you are allowed to talk in English on the radio
all over the world, where English-language correspondence is used.
It is called BEG because it is Limited to VFR flight.
You are not allowed to use a BEG-English certificate to talk in Danish in
Denmark. You need a BEG-Danish certificate for that.
This course is about BEG-English.
• GEN
If you are going to fly IFR, you need a GEN certificate. GEN stands for
GENerel certificate.
The language here is English.
