- However, the theory test can instead be taken in front of the above-

mentioned examiner on the day of the test, but it then only applies to

obtaining a radio certificate.

You must take this type of theory test if you want the right to conduct radio

communication, for example as a passenger in the aircraft.

If you have not passed the COM test in English before taking the practical

radio test, you must also take the English theory test in connection with
taking the practical test. It does not replace the COM test, which you must

then take later.

To be nominated for the theory test, you must have passed the school's

nomination test requirements, see section 3.1

1.4.2.4 The language test

The language test for BEG-English is based on whether the use of phraseology in
the 2-way test is performed correctly, as well as an interview where you talk

about common aviation-related topics.

You can only be set for the test when you have been assessed as a 5 in language

level. However, a 4 may be enough if you have achieved it through several
lessons and you are otherwise ready to take the test in the other subtests.
