1.4.2 The radio test

1.4.2.1 The BEG test (the practical test)

The BEG certificate is issued by the Danish Transport Authority after you have

passed a test consisting of:

- 2-way radio communication

- language test

- theory test (if you have already passed a COM test in English, the theory is

also considered passed for BEG-English)

You can be nominated for the test when your instructor reports you are ready.
You must be ready in all three subtests before nomination can take place.

1.4.2.2 2-way radio communication

The 2-way communication test is conducted in front of an examiner who

observes the performance of 2-way communication in connection with a

simulated flight.

If you achieve a 4 on the test, you may be able to achieve a higher language grade
in a subsequent language level assessment - or be unlucky and get a lower one.

To be set for the 2-way communication test, you must have a maximum of 6

errors in the setting test.

1.4.2.3 Theory test

The theory test is 16 Multiple Choice questions.

There are two ways to take the theory test:

- The test in the subject Communication for obtaining the private pilot

certificate (COM test) is passed in English before the radio test is held.
