your certificate will be rendered invalid. Should this occur, you must reacquire

the certificate before resuming its associated privileges.

1.3.1.4 Service documents

The following documents must be carried when operating a radio station:
1. Permit to establish and operate the station

2. Radio operator's radio certificate

3. Aircraft journey logbook

4. Frequency list
5. Other documents deemed necessary for duty as radio operator.

1.4 Radio test and COM test

To pass the radio certificate, you must pass 3 subtests:

- 2-way communication

- language level

- theory (if you have already passed a COM test in English, the theory is also

considered passed for BEG English)

1.4.1 The COM test

The subject Communication (COM) is one of the 9 required theoretical subjects

for the private pilot certificate, and the test is taken under the same conditions

as the other 8 theoretical subjects for the private pilot certificate.

This e-book covers the subject matter for the test in radio theory and the subject

COM in English.

To be eligible for registration for the COM test, students must complete the
theory lessons outlined in section 1.5.1 and satisfy the school's registration test

criteria. These requirements are available on the school's e-learning platform.
