P. 56
The gate of the tabernacle is made of four different
twisted linen curtains.
The tabernacle constructed by Moses had its entrance
only at the east side. Its length from east to the west was 50
cubits (about 82 feet) and its length from south to the north
was 100 cubits (about 328 feet). And the entrance to the tent
was made in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and white, finely
twisted linen that represents Jesus.
“For the entrance to the courtyard, provide a curtain twenty
cubits long, of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted
linen--the work of an embroiderer--with four posts and four
bases.”(Exodus 27:16)
The blue represents Jesus as life. The purple represents
Jesus as King. The scarlet rep-resents Jesus having suffered.
The white represents the resurrected Jesus.
