Sometimes this is good. And it is a natural tendency for some behavioral
styles to pepper others with logic and reasoning (pay close attention here
LIONS and FOXES). But there are many times when tiny dreams can
become big realities.
Roger Bannister was told he’d never walk again after an accident injured
his legs. He ran the first four-minute mile.
John Kennedy was too young to be president, Jack Nicklaus too old to win
the Masters, and Tom Brady not a very good quarterback.
All were surrounded by friends and relatives who told them “You can’t do
that!”
Are you a dream builder or a dream buster? Do you encourage going the
distance or quitting before you finish? Do you look for the good in
everyone you meet, no matter what?
A good communicator looks for that “good light” in everyone, even when it
is barely a flicker. The other person knows when you are looking for it, and
feels a kinship with you.
