products. It is more so that now we are currently evolving with technology”. Generally, when
entrepreneurs recognized market sensitivity, it would precede their direct attention toward producing
quality and favourable products that meet the market demand. Having in-depth knowledge about the
target market would probably boost students confidence level as entrepreneurs.
In line with the findings above, MASMED has introduced Postgrad Training in Innovation and
Entrepreneurship Exploration (TIE) to commercialize postgrad students research work and encourage
them to involve in entrepreneurship. This is unique and enhances the work of doctoral students while
benefiting society. The commercialization process takes place to suits the market, building a
collaborator and networking as well as funding. All of these steps are supported by MASMED and it
provides a business experience for students. Moreover, this study postulates that market sensitivity is
an important element in entrepreneurship education. This is supported by the results from one
respondent, “Provided the market opportunity and resources, I think that it will boost students
confidently and interest in venturing into business”. Besides that, aggressive promotion of
entrepreneurship activities should be carried out to encourage more participation from the university
students to participate in the process of completing their studies at the university (Mahmood, Kaestner
& Yeboah, 2010). Abdul Halim, Yahya, Mohd Foad, Mohd Shuker & Yakob, (2010) highlighted that
attitude, innovativeness, team player, risk-taker and decision-maker are the various traits that
influence students in entrepreneurship education. In addition, the findings of the study can serve as a
platform for academicians about entrepreneurship education. Hopefully, it will indirectly help build
self-confidence in students to become entrepreneurs or to create their jobs.
Conclusion
Entrepreneurship education is essential in preparing students for the formation of attitudes and self-
efficacy of the right to effective entrepreneurship. This study contributed to the Eastern
entrepreneurship body of knowledge, especially among students in entrepreneurship education.
However, the findings of this study need to be taken with precaution due to it does not represent the
general population. This research focuses on the educators’ perspectives, especially in one state
university in the country. Therefore, further research in other streams, state and private universities at
the national and international level may be necessary before generalization can be made on
entrepreneurship education in the entire world. Moreover, taking into consideration the development
of entrepreneurship education, future longitudinal research is recommended. Detail reflection upon
current practices of Entrepreneurship Education is highly needed especially from the university side.
It can focus on the curriculum design contents and materials covering several aspects such as
appropriateness, relevance, coherence, and social usefulness with regards to entrepreneurship
education nature and impact (Fayolle, 2018).
