        Verrucose sarcoids (Figure 18.32)

        Verrucose sarcoids resemble the occult type, but the skin is more thickened and irregular.

        Sometimes they form dry, wart-like lesions on the skin. They may develop from the occult
        sarcoids, so their distribution pattern is similar. If knocked or abraded, they may ulcerate and
        develop into a more aggressive, fibroblastic form.
