Attendance
Team Members are expected to be present for work, on time, every day. Team Members are
also expected to remain for their entire scheduled shift.
Regular attendance and punctuality are necessary for successful operation of your team and
the organization as a whole. Arriving late, leaving early and absenteeism cause disruptions
and burdens on your teammates.
If you are unable to report to work, will be tardy or must leave work early for any reason, you
must notify your immediate supervisor at least 2 hours prior to the change. Failure to notify
your immediate supervisor in a timely manner will be considered an unexcused absence or
tardy and will be subject to corrective action, up to and including termination.
Assessment of Unplanned Attendance Occurrences
Two or more instances of tardiness, early exits and/or unplanned absences within a 30
day period shall be cause for corrective action.
Three or more instances of unplanned absences within a 90 day period will result in
corrective action.
Leadership will work collaboratively with the Team Member to seek solutions for tardiness,
early exits and/or unplanned absences.
Non-exempt Team Members must seek prior approval for completing work assignments
outside of their normal work space. Permission will only be granted in limited circumstances
as Team Members are afforded time during their scheduled work day to complete all tasks as
assigned. Team Members who find they cannot complete assignments during their schedule
hours of work should discuss this with their immediate supervisor.
Non-exempt team members who take work home without prior approval will be subject to
disciplinary action up to and including termination.
As required by licensing regulations, Jack & Jill Children’s Center Team Members will from
time to time, attend trainings, meetings and/or conferences to meet Professional
Development/Training Hours.
Time Clock
Team Members must clock-in and clock-out to open and close each shift. The procedure must
be followed when taking lunch breaks as well. If there is any problem recording a clock-in or
clock-out, Team Members should inform a manager immediately. Team Members who
consistently fail to clock-in or clock-out may receive disciplinary action, up to and including
termination.
