Step 2
STEP 2: Issue and Problem Identification
This second step
concentrates on
identifying what critical
issue(s) or problems need
to be solved. This is
probably the most crucial
part of the analysis.
To start with identify any critical statements made by major
players or groups in the case etc. Where possible list the
goals of the major parties that exist or can be reasonably
inferred.
Diagnosis
Understanding what is wrong or right in the case study
depends upon effective diagnosis which requires
appreciating the problems affecting the performance of the
organisation. Understanding these issues will aid the
process of prioritisation of problems as measured against
the available resources and constraints facing the
organisation.
